Michael Attie - Mike, also known as "The Squeezebox Swami" is a disciple of Neem Karoli Baba and is the founder of the Don't Worry Zendo in Los Angeles. He has written several books including, "Many Ways, Middle Way, and No Way" and has recorded new dharma words to traditional songs. He created Dharma Banners of prayer flags with religious quotes from many traditions in several colorful styles. He brings many years of meditation and retreat experience to the Board and has led retreats at the Jizo Peace Center. Ruth Ratna Handy - Ruth is a disciple of Srimata Gayatri Devi and founder of the Jizo Peace Center. She serves as President and Secretary of the Board. She has studied the Japanese koto. She is a long-term meditator and pilgrim to many sacred sites in the world. Ruth is a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience in child protective services as well as forensic social work. Jackie Jhati Sanders - Jackie is a spiritual devotee and a member of the Gandharvas choir performing at Jizo Peace Center events. She has worked in Consumer Products licensing at Warner Bros. for 8 years and is currently serving as the President of Warner Bros. Toastmasters, having been a member of the club since 2004. She enjoys being Treasurer of the Board where she serves along with her husband David. David Sanders - Dave is an avid sky diver and excellent graphic artist with many years of experience developing publicity for entertainment venues. He serves on the Jizo Peace Center Board along with his wife Jackie and is tireless in helping out at events. In Remembrance Don Pradipta Phillips, a disciple of Srimata Gayatri Devi, was the first Board Member and Secretary of the Jizo Peace Center. He lived in La Crescenta where he had a construction business and served on the City Council. He played tablas with the Gandharvas for the first two Veteran's Day Peace Chants. He served meaningfully on the Board until his death in June, 2007.
